Teamwork
The Walkom's Valu-Mart Tyke 2 Meteors defeated the Wallace Sabres on Saturday afternoon.
With the full team present, the boys started putting into play what they have been working on at practise...shooting at the net and passing the puck. Their coaches were happy to see them working together as a team!
Four minutes into the first period, Carson Lubbers scored with an assist from Cameron Dietz. The pair continued to work together and had many more shots on net. Lubbers scored 4 more times, with Dietz getting 1 goal. Also adding to the 9-4 victory was Sean Gibbings (1 goal and 1 assist), Nolan Rolph (1 goal) and Lukas DeJong (1 goal).
In goal tending for the Meteors, Ray Wolfe tried to stop the puck anyway possible even using his face mask. He made several saves and had a strong defensive line to back him up.
Next Saturday the boys will travel to Wallace to face off with the Sabres again! Good luck!
