Atom LL Update
The MCR Atom LL squad has been playing well as of late, blanking St. Marys Thrashers 3-0 during exhibition play on Nov. 30.
Austin Weir had the shutout while Carter Yost had two goals and Tye Baynham added one. Will Steinbach also chipped in with two assists.
Against Blyth/Brussels the next night in League play, the locals lost a hard-fought battle, 2-0.
Last Friday (Dec. 6) at home to Zurich, Mitchell rebounded from an early deficit to roll to a 9-1 win. Yost had two goals and two assists with Baynham adding 2 of his own. PJ Marshall, Wade Monden and Coulter Rolph, as well as 2 call up players - Josh Bedour and Jack Steinbach all notched one on the board to round out the scoring.
Sunday in St. Marys the twins Tye and Cade Baynham led the team with three goals in a 4-2 exhibition win.
