NOVICES WIN GOLD AT SIMCOE
The McLaughlin Chrysler Jeep Novices brought home the Gold Medal at the Demeyere Vic Jackson Novice Tournament in Simcoe going undefeated this weekend , winning the final 3-2 in 2OT. over Six Nations .

In game one on Friday night vs the host team Simcoe, the team played a solid game backed by the shut out goaltending of Kody Eisler won 3-0. Dawson Dietz, scored a pair of goals , and Jared Vosper scored once as Justin Morrison, Zach Houben, and Talbot Geiger added an assist each . In game two Saturday morning, vs Six Nations , Dietz scored the lone goal in a tight 1-1 tie. Game three later in the afternoon, vs Waterford, Dietz scored a pair of goals, and Geiger one in a 3-1 win . Andrew Van Bakel 2, Cole Hannon , Geiger, and Rhett Terpstra recorded assists in the win , and a first place in there division , and a berth in the Semi Finals Sunday at 8am vs Alymer Flames. On Sunday , the Meteors came out flying scoring early and often in a 11-1 win. Dietz, had the hatrick, Morrison 2, Vosper 2, , Van Bakel, Luke Murray , Kale Murray, all light the lamp in the game. Daniel Reidy, Morrison, Dietz, all added a pair of assists each.
On to the final , vs Six Nations, again, a tough battle but the boys came away with a 3-2 , win in 2OT, getting a goal off the stick of Morrison . Geiger and Van Bakel also scored in the win , as the team claimed the Championship going undefeated on the weekend. Kudo's to the defence of K.Murray, Hannon, Jamie Feltz, L.Murray, Terpstra, who were strong along with Eisler all weekend allowing only five goals against all weekend, and forwards Geiger, Dietz, Van Bakel , Reidy, Houben , Vosper, Morrison all work hard two way game as a full team effort brought home the tournament win.
