Tyke 2, 2012-2013 (Mitchell Minor Hockey)

Mitchell's Tyke 2 team had fans on the edge of their seats this week managing two ties and a win.  In Tuesday's effort against the other Mitchell Tyke team it was end to end action resulting in a 5-5 tie. Scoring for the Tyke 2 team was Caleb Templeman with two goals, with Blake Redfern, Jarrett Van Bakel and Rhett Terpstra each adding one. Goalie Liam Brodhagen kept the team in the game with stellar goaltending.

Liam Brodhagen stood tall in net against Zurich to help his team log a 5-2 win on Saturday January 26th. Jarrett Van Bakel scored the first two goals for Mitchell and then added a third later in the game for a hat trick. Goals were also scored by Rhett Terpstra and Brayden Glauser.   Ally McMann helped the cause with two assists. Lauren McKay, Sam Huetlin, Rhett Terpstra and Brayden Glauser also each added an assist.

Mitchell's Tyke 2 team suffered 2 losses this week, falling 7-3 to the BCH Ice Dogs and 4-2 to the Mitchell Tyke 1 team.  In Clinton, Sam Huetlin netted two goals and Ally McMann scored once for Mitchell. Jake Crowley scored twice for the Tyke 2's  in Tuesday's game in Mitchell, both times receiving assists from Rhett Terpstra and Lauren McKay.

Mitchell's Tyke 2 team eased by the Zurich Tykes with an impressive 11-1 win. The Tykes have been working hard on their positional play and passing of the puck, and their hard work has paid off. Hat tricks were scored by Caleb Templeman, Sam Huetlin and Jarrett Van Bakel. Braydon Glauser also found the net adding a pair of goals. Mitchell's defensive squad for the game was Rhett Terpstra, Ally McMann, Daniel Olgilvie and Jake Crowley and they did an excellent job on the blue line keeping the puck in Zurich's end.  Goalie Blake Redfern recorded the win. 

Mitchell's Tyke 2 team logged their first win this Sunday against Listowel in a game filled with end to end action!  Jarrett Van Bakel got the team rolling with two quick goals, both scored less than a minute apart on the same shift. Zachary Houben also scored two goals for the home team and Sam Huetlin also hit the net for one.  Goalie Jake Crowley made several key saves to keep the team in the lead.
