Atom Boys AE, U11 Boys, 2011-2012 (Mitchell Minor Hockey)

The Atom AE team came up against Collingwood in the OMHA quarter finals. It was a tough series for the boys, being so closely matched with Collingwood.

The Atom AE team defeated Listowel AE in three games straight to claim the WOAA Championship on Monday night!  The boys skated hard, worked hard and never gave up to win the final game 5-1.  Congratulations, boys!!  On to the quarter-finals of the OMHA against either Collingwood or Huntsville!  Go Meteors go!!!!

The Atom AE Team played in the Lambton Shores Christmas Tournament in Forest on Dec. 29th and 30th.  For the first game of the tournament the boys played against Dorchester trying their best the boys came up short losing 2-1.  In the second game the boys were warmed up and ready to play winning against Lambton Shores 4-0.  On Friday the team came up against Mooretown, they needed a win to advance to the finals and they did this with another 4-0 win.  In the finals the boys found themselves playing Dorchester again and after a back and forth game, Mitchell scored in the third and held on to ...

After a two week game break the boys where back on Saturday to play an exhibition game against Listowel.  It took some time for the boys to get back into game mode, and in the end worked hard for a 2-2 tie. The team then spent Saturday night at the Mitchell Jr C Hawks game where they were honored for winning regional silver stick. On Sunday the boys came up against Mount Forest who they had tied against in a previous game.  The team came out strong and and never looked back defeating Mount Forest 6-1.  The boys next game is Thursday Dec.08 in Goderich. 

Congratulations to the WG Thompson Atom AE Team - ST Clements Regional Silver Stick Champions! The team went undefeated in the tournament winning the final versus Plattsville 4-1 The now move on to play in the International Silver Stick Tournament in Pelham, Ontario in January.  Good luck at Internationals!!!
