U11 LL, U11 Boys, 2024-2025 (Mitchell Minor Hockey)

On Friday January 24th, the U11 LL team played strong against Huron-Bruce in Lucknow. The boys won the game 10-0. Krempien scored 6 goals. Whitaker scored 2 goals after being out for two weeks. Wicke and Huhn also scored a goal each. Great work Meteors!

On Sunday Dec. 5th, late in the first, Insley passed to Wicke in the defensive zone, Wicke busted down the ice, and passed into the slot where Whitaker buried it.  In the third period, Nuhn picked up a loose puck at centre ice. Nuhn found a hole just over the goalies pad to make it 2-0 for Mitchell. Seconds later, during the same shift, Wicke shot and Whitaker scored by redirecting the rebound. In the next shift, Degroot passed it from behind the net to McIntyre. McIntyre scored by tucking the puck just inside the post.  The action continued when Wicke scored from a one timer in the ...

The U11 LL team traveled to Listowel on Sunday. With one minute left in the first period, Wicke shot from the slot. Whitaker was ready and tipped the shot past the goalie. Mitchell led 1-0 until a Listowel defenseman walked in and scored in the third period. Wicke scored the game winner with a shot from the corner that deflected off the back of the goalie's helmet. Once again Whitaker was at the crease and ready to bury any rebounds. Another great game for the U11 LL! 

On Saturday November 23, the U11 LL team played 3 strong games to clinch the championship title. They won their first game 4-0. The second game went into a shoot out. Walt continued his shut out during these penalty shots and Krempien secured the victory with his goal. In the final game, Mitchell scored 3 goals early in the game. The entire team worked hard and made the Mitchell coaches and families proud with a 3-1 win in the A finals. 

On Thursday night, the U11 LL team played Central Perth in Monkton. Central Perth was leading by one goal when Krempien snuck a wrist shot past the Predator goalie's glove. With two minutes left in the game, McCarthy busted down the ice on a quick break. She sent a hard shot at the goalie with a defender right on her tail. Degroot was ready for the rebound and scored the game winning goal for a 2-1 win over the Predators.
