Kincardine & Huron Bruce in Mitchell
Your U18 LL E&F Masonry Mitchell Meteors welcomed Kincardine Kinucks Sunday Night followed by the league leading Huron Bruce Grey Monday night in back to back games.

Sunday Night, Porter Smith would get the call in net and add to his impressive season performances as Mitchell took on the 1 and 2 Kinucks Sunday night.  Porter would be backed by the strong D of Wyatt Bouillion, Lucas Bree, Seth P., Grady Smith, Darius Ladd and Tyler Scherbarth this night.  As through the first six games of the season the defense would play a big roll in helping to limit shots and generate offense.
Kincardine would strike first scoring at 5:32 of the first period.  However, Mitchell would back fast on the next shift on a Griffin Bree (asst., Jack Crowley, Dominik Ladd) back hand at 5:06.  Going into the second Mitchell would find themselves killing many penalties but Porter Smith and the D would stand tall keeping the game tied.  With more penalties going into the third period, Mitchell would strike on a laser from Carson Paulen (Asst., Owen Beuerman, Jack Richardson) with 7:36 remaining.  Mitchell would take this Sunday night win with a score of 2 to 1.

The following night, Mitchell welcomed the league leading Huron-Bruce Grey in what would be a fast pace end to end game with very little penalties throughout.  Getting the call in net against the Blizzard would be Aedan McMann who would put on another outstanding performance.  Huron-Bruce would open the scoring at 11:06 of the first period for a 1 to 0 lead.  With time in the first running down Owen Beuermann would feed a pass to Cam Schderwoerd for a top shelf wrister to tie the game.  Five minutes into the second period Rogan Catalan (Asst., Owen Beuermann, Nolan Rolph) would find room to skate down the left side to beat a defender and put Mitchell up 2 to 1 with the go ahead goal.  After the flood, Huron-Bruce would come out hot to start the third with a goal early at 12:43 to tie the game up, followed by a bad bounce finding the back of the net at 8:39 the win.

Your Meteors will finally get some practice time in followed up by their next game at home on Sunday, November 24th, 2024.
