Meteor's in Ripley to take on the Blizzard
Your U18 E&H Masonry Mitchell Meteors LL team traveled to Ripley to take on the division leading Huron-Bruce Ripley Blizzard (Grey) Friday night fresh from a 0 to 0 tie in Lucknow taking on the Blizzard "White".  Huron-Blizzard "Grey" entering the game undefeated with 3 wins and 2 ties.

Friday night would be exciting with fast end to end hockey in a battle that you could cut the tension with a knife.  Aedan McCann fresh off his spectacular shut out against the Blizzard "White" would get the call to net again and would put on a show with 27 shots against.
Mitchells defense would once again play a huge roll as Wyatt Bouillon, Seth P., Lucas Bree, Tyler Sherbarth, Owen Beuermann, Nolan Rolph would lead the charge.
First period would be back and forth, end to end action at a frantic pace in a very evenly match period that neither team could seemingly find a way to beat the great goaltending on either end.  However, with 30 seconds left on the clock and a broken down Blizzard defense, Max Hannon (asst., Carson Paulen, Adam Hunt) would strike first to give Mitchell a 1 to 0 lead.
The second period would continue to see more end to end action with little penalties and fast action hockey.  Neither team could beat the goal tending giving a Mitchell a 1 to 0 lead going back to the locker room for the third period.
The third would see the Blizzard beat Mitchell on a penalty kill taking the game to a 1 to 1 tie just 30 seconds into action.  Amazingly, just a minute and change of play later, the Blizzard would strike again going up 2 to 1 over your Meteors at 11:52.  With the game at 2 to 1, Griffin Bree (Asst., by Jack Crowley, Dominic Ladd) would score to tie it up at 9:55.
The hard fought game would end in a tie, Mitchell second tie game in a row, placing Mitchell in second place with 8 points in pool C, just 1 point behind their rival Blizzard Grey with 9 points.

You can watch your Meteors play this Sunday night at home at 8:30pm, after their long successful road trip.
