Tough road trip
February has not been kind to the Scotiabank U15LL team going 0-3 this past week.

It started with a trip on Feb. 3rd to Hensall to take on the Mid-Huron Huskies 2 team. Mitchell could not find the back of the net for most of the game going down 4-0 into the third period. Half way through the third Mitchell came alive with a blue line goal from Nolan Rolph, Liam Baker would add another one but they couldn’t keep the momentum going and ended up loosing 4-2.

Tuesday, the Meteors travelled to Wingham. Mitchell came out strong with a goal by Lewis Jenson and another by Baker however, Wingham came back with two unanswered goals ending the 1st tied 2-2.
In the second, the Ironmen came calling with three goals more unanswered goals. Down 5-2 going into the third, the U15s seemed to get a second wind and came out flying with three goals by Brayden Baxter, Sean Gibbings and another by Lewis Jenson. Unfortunately Wingham also added three more goals winning the game 8-5.

Thursday it was back to Hensall to play the Mid-Huron Huskies 1 team. Jenson started off the game with a short handed goal, the Huskies however came back with two of their own. The second period ended with a score of 5-3 for Wingham. Wyatt Bouillon finally missed the post and found the back of the net for both of Mitchells goals. Mid-Huron quickly added their 6th goal of the night in the third period. Down 6-3, the Mitchell Meteors didn’t give up. After a split stretch on the blue line to keep it on side by Bouillon Greg McKay scored. Bouillon would then end the game with his third of the night. Unfortunately the Meteors ran out of time and Lost 6-5.

The U15 Meteors play their last regular season game Tuesday in Mitchell.
