Bradford Blue and Gold tournament
The Scotiabank U15LL team travelled to the Bradford area to play in the Bradford Bulldogs Blue and Gold Tournament. 

        In game one against Copper Cliff Xcaliber, Mitchell came out strong with two back to back goals. Four and a half minutes into the first Lewis Jenson scored with an assist from Liam Baker, 10 seconds later Liam would add his own goal with an assist from Keith Linton. Copper Cliff scored their first goal in the second but Mitchell was shut out. Ahead 2-1 going into the third, Copper Cliff added two goals, one with 35 seconds left, to take a 3-1 lead. With time winding down, Jenson was able to sneak another one past the Copper Cliff goalie with 20 seconds left to finish the game in a 3-3 tie. 

Friday night for game two, Mitchell faced the Lindsay Muskies. The Muskies were first to put one on the board but Jenson was able to get his third of the tournament before the first period was over. No goals were scored in the second period however, Mitchell found their groove in the third with two goals.  Greg McKay got his first with an assist by Wyatt Bouillon and Luke Krempien scored the second with his first with assists by Liam Baker and Sean Gibbings.

The Meteors then travelled to Nottawasaga for their final game in round robin play to play against the Oak Ridges Kings. Oak Ridge came out strong and scored the first goal of the game on a power play. Mitchell was unable to add to the board in the first. However, Mitchell did get things started in the second period with an unassisted goal by Wyatt Bouillon. Oak Ridge put on the pressure and came back with three unanswered goals. Going into the third down 4-1 Mitchell didn’t give up. Keith Linton and Liam Coyne assisted Bouillon in his second of the game. Mitchell played hard in the 3rd but was unable to get those other two goals and fell to a final score of 4-2. 

There was strong offensive and defensive efforts including some great saves by goalie Levi Dorscht. Mitchell missed making it to the semi-finals on Sunday by a 5% goal differential. 

The U15LL team will start their regular season on November 12th at home when they face the Wingham Ironmen. Game time 8pm.
