Tyke 1, 2014-2015 (Mitchell Minor Hockey)

Thanks to all coaches, parent reps and parents who helped put together a tremendously fun night for all Mitchell Tyke players as the Tyke 1 and Tyke 2 teams played against each other during the intermission of the London Knights game yesterday.

Logan Verberne backstopped the Walkom Valu-Mart team with great goaltending today, turrning away numerous St. Marys shots to help the team come away with a 14-6 victory. Many players on the team contributed to the offensive effort with five different players finding the back of the net at least once. Ryan Klumper lead the way with 6 goals, Max Hannon netted three goals, Braden Hoegy and Dominic Ladd both scored twice while Ethan Jarmuth added a single to round out the scoring. Great defensive work helped round out the great team play.

The Walkom Valu-Mart Tyke 1 came out strong this afternoon against St. Marys leading 3-0 after the first period and they never looked back ending with a 16-4 victory. Ethan Jarmuth was on fire as he hit the back of the net 9 times during the game. Ryan Klumper added a hat trick, Dominic Ladd scored twice while Logan Verberne and Max Hannon both netted singles to round out the scoring. Elijah Bender, Braden Hoegy, Danielle Harmer and Max Hannon played strong on the blue line. Bryce Dixon was strong in net stopping numerous shots to give the home team the victory.

The Walkom Valu-Mart Tyke 1 team travelled to Blyth this weekend to face a much bigger and older team. Dominic Ladd played outstanding in net turning away numerous shots. The entire team worked hard and had some good chances but just couldn't get the puck in the Blyth net. Great effort everyone!

The Valu-Mart Tyke 1 team hosted Blyth Brussels at home tonight and Mitchell scored early and often to come away with a 11-0 victory. Ryan Klumper and Max Hannon were both strong offensively, Klumper netted 5 goals while Hannon added 4. Ethan Jarmuth and Logan Verberne added singles to round out the scoring. Assists go to Danielle Harmer, Braden Hoegy and Griffin Bree. The blue line crew was outstanding today keeping the shots on goalie Heather Ogilvie to a minimum helping her come away with a shut out. Great effort everyone!
