Recap for the week Scotiabank Bantam AE Boys
Nov 24 the Scotiabank Bantam AE boys struggled against a strong Zurich Rep team.

It was a very fast paced game and Mitchell was unable to keep up and take control of the game. Zurich scored 5 goals before Mitchell netted one.  At 9:11 into the third period a goal scored by Curtis Lockhart assisted by Riley Sykes and Tyler Smith got them on the board.  Zurich continued to dominate with 3 more goals.  With 21 seconds left Sykes put one more goal in assisted by Wyatt Cronin, it was nice to see them continue to work until the end.  Goalie Tanner Knechtel did a great job in net stopping a huge amount of shots. Final Score 8 – 2 Zurich.

Nov 29 the Bantam AE boys met with Listowel at home.  The boys started out strong with a goal 15 seconds in scored by Sykes and assisted by Lockhart and Noah Price. Listowel added 2 goals in the second to take the lead, but Mitchell continued to work hard and scored at 9:47 in the third to even it up. The goal was scored by Smith, assisted by Stephen Bird and Lockhart.    The boys did a good job staying out of the penalty box this game but could not hold onto the lead as Listowel scored with 4:42 left in the third.  The defence is starting to work together and defending the net alongside Aaron McNeil between the pipes. Final Score 3 – 2 Listowel.

Nov 30 the boys travelled to Ayton to play Normanby.  Everyone seemed to be on their game today. Smith had a hat trick, his first goal assisted by Andrew Feltz, his second by James Cooper and third by Lockhart.  Early in the third period Ben Hart scored assisted by Lockhart and with a lead of 4 – 2 it looked like Mitchell could wrap this one up. After that, penalty trouble assisted Normanby in coming back to tie the game 4 – 4.  A great improvement over the last two games shows promise for this week and heading into Silver Stick.
