Bantam Girls, U15 Boys, 2011-2012 (Mitchell Minor Hockey)

The Mitchell Meteor Bantam Girls are undefeated going into the Championship game on Sunday at 3 p.m.  MVP of game 1:  Shaylynn Currah, with a blistering slapshot from the point, lit the fire for the team. MVP of game 2:  Taylor MacLean, with a natural hat trick to keep the team moving forward. MVP of game 3:  Emily Brintnell, providing solid,consistent play and never quitting. MVP of game 4:  Hailey Dow, providing a solid, consistent effort the entire game. The B & S Construction Bantam Girls will be travelling to North York for a tournament, during the  March Break.  The tournament hosts are the North York Storm.  Visit their tournament website www.nyt.goalline.ca .  Good luck to the girls and their coaching staff!

The Mitchell Bantam Girls played Upper Maitland in Monkton, in their first game of a 5-game round robin series.  The 1-0 score in favour of Mitchell, did not reflect their great playing during this game.  Great game, team!!  This coming weekend, round robin action continues, as the team faces off in Mitchell against St.Marys on Saturday evening and then heads to Brussels on Sunday afternoon.  Good luck!!
