Eligibility to Coach

It is imperative for all Team Officials to ensure their Vulnerable Sector Check is complete to be eligible to programs on and off the ice. This includes a valid Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and the OHF Screening Declaration Form.  If you do not have a current VSC, you must apply for one through the OPP as well as fill out the letter from the OHF Letter for VSC listed in the links below:

Police Record Checks

When you are notified that your check is done, download the PDF, save it, and upload it at the OHF Screening Submission Portal listed below.  If you need help finding your HCR number, please contact Vicki Smith.

If you have a current VSC (dated Sept/2022 or later), you can upload the PDF to the OHF Screening Submission Portal. You will also need to print the OHF Screening Declaration as well to upload. You will need your HCR number to do this. 

Before entering the OHF Screening Submission Portal, please ensure you are ready with the necessary documentation. You will need your:


• Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) Number; AND
• Vulnerable Sector Check (PDF) AND OHF Screening Declaration Form (PDF); OR
• Receipt of Vulnerable Sector Check (PDF) AND OHF Screening Declaration Form (PDF);

Please Note:

1. All documents must be in PDF format to be accepted.
2. For the 2024-25 season, the OHF will be accepting copies of a Vulnerable Sector Check from 2022-23 or
2023-24 AND OHF Screening Declaration Form (PDF).
