Changes Coming for Houseleague
Submitted By admin on Sunday, October 24, 2021
Mitchell Minor Hockey’s House league program has been a long standing division of our hockey program for decades. Over the years the program has undergone a number of changes. Some of you may remember as children playing or having the option to play both travel and house league hockey. Most recently with the introduction of half ice we were forced to change the program to no longer allow U8/U9 players the option to play house league.

This year MMH plans to bring the house league program more back to its roots offering house league to boys and girls U11 & U13 LL players.  We believe this offers a number of benefits to both our travel and HL players including:

· House league players will have more teams to play, and varying skill levels to play with

· Opportunity for additional ice time allowing for skill and development of LL players

· U11’s graduating from half ice get more opportunities to gain understanding of off sides, icing etc.

Program Details

· Begins Saturday Dec 4th

· Minimum of 10 ice times, Saturday mornings in Mitchell

· Game format may vary based on number of participants i.e. 4 on 4, shock hockey

Costs

· Boys $95.00

· Girls $135 (there is an additional $40 fee to roster girls with OMHA for insurance purposes)

Eligibility

· U11 Local League players already registered in MMH

· U13 Local League players already registered in MMH

· U11 Girls already registered in MMH

Enrollment

Registration deadline November 20 2021
