For the 2nd Time in 2 Days, The Atom Reps would face the BCH Ice Dogs
After just playing in the Silverstick Regional Tournament, the Walkom's Valu-Mart Mitchell Atom Rep Meteors would face the BCH Ice Dogs once again on Sunday December 1. Would BCH bounce back from their loss against Mitchell seeking revenge from the day before OR would Mitchell continue to outplay the Ice Dogs having confidence from their previous win?
The Meteors seemed relaxed in their play and were out-hustling the Ice Dogs to the puck. BCH took an early penalty at 1:36 of the first and Mitchell capitalized with Carson Brown scoring at 2:33 from a tough angle (assist - Owen Beuermann). The Meteors continued to ramp it up with Austin Judge scoring at 4:31 and Landon Van Bakel adding another at 5:39 (assist - Beuermann).
The Ice Dogs started to put up more of a challenge in the 2nd period, but Mitchell continued with their fine play. Hudson Porter made a strong individual effort getting through a couple of BCH defenders and put it past the Ice Dogs' netminder at 7:46, making the score 4-0. Van Bakel would add one more on the powerplay before the end of the second (assisted by Nate Uniac and Judge)
The 3rd period would remain scoreless, with both teams having to kill off a few penalties, until BCH was able to capitalize on a powerplay at 11:31, but that would be all as the game's final score ended up 5-1 for the Meteors.
The Walkom's Valu-Mart Mitchell Atom Rep Meteors will face the BCH Ice Dogs once again on Thursday December 5th at 6:30pm in Clinton.
