Silverstick Regional Tournament Playoffs
After completing the first two games of the Silverstick Regional Tournament in Wingham last week, the Walkom's Valu-Mart Mitchell Atom Rep Meteors found themselves in 8th spot which set them up for a playoff against the BCH Ice Dogs (9th seed) on the morning of Saturday November 30.

The game started off evenly matched in the first period with neither team scoring.  The Ice Dogs were the first to strike with a goal 2 minutes into the second period; remaining 1-0 going into the 3rd.  The Meteors answered back with Landon Van Bakel making a strong individual effort to get past the BCH defence and going low blocker-side on the goalie to tie the game 22 seconds into the 3rd.  The goal seemed to rattle the Ice Dogs and as a result, Van Bakel scored 24 seconds later.  Mitchell would add one more with Van Bakel scoring his 3rd of the game at 9:04 (assisted by Austin Judge).  The final score 3-1 for Mitchell (shots: Mitchell 17, BCH 16).

Advancing to the next round, the Meteors would face the Listowel Cyclones who were seeded in first place.  The first period was scoreless with few shots making it to the net at either end, but Listowel seemed to have a slight edge on the Meteors.  The Cyclones continued to gain momentum and ended up scoring off a rebound at 6:37 in the second period and out shot the Meteors 10-2.  However, Mitchell began to respond and up their game in the 3rd.  While in Listowel's end, Jake Richardson came up with the puck, passing it out front to Carson Brown, who snapped it past the Cyclone goaltender thus tying the game.  Mitchell continued to battle with a strong effort but with 45 seconds left, Listowel managed to score, stealing the win from Mitchell.  The 3rd period was Mitchell's best with shots even at 5-5.

Kincardine would end up winning the tournament beating Listowel in the final 3-1.
