Solid Start in day 1 of Silver Stick
The Mitchell Meteors McLaughlin Chrysler Novice Rep team had a solid first day at the silver stick regionals.

Starting off the day taking on BCH the meteors would go out strong in the first period, chalking up a goal early on in the first by Vincent Voros.  Three minutes later Jared Vosper would find the net with an assist from Jarrett Van Bakel.  Josh French would get the third goal, assisted by Carson Harmer and Vosper.  Harmer would cap the first periods scoring by adding a goal in the last few seconds giving a four goal lead heading into the first intermission.  Vosper would add another in the second period to give a five goal lead.  Mitchell did well to fend off BCH until the third period when BCH would put one past Mitchell netminder Hayden Beuermann on a rebound shot while the boys were trying hard to kill a penalty.   The Meteors held on for a 5-1 win over BCH.

In game two, Mitchell would play the Listowel Cyclones taking the win 10-0.  Vosper had a hat trick with Harmer, Voros, Van Bakel, French, and Zach Houben all adding to the scoring as well.  Cole Baier, Rhett Terpstra, Caleb Templemen, Daniel Ogilvie, and Brock Boville were solid on defense throughout the day.

The boys hit the ice again Monday at 1:15pm in Ripley. Great work boys and good luck tomorrow.

Go Meteors!
