Novice LL Shut Out Clinton 2-0
The Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL Meteors showed off their defensive talents in a 2-0 shut out win in Clinton on Saturday. In the first minute of play Blake Redfern held strong on the blue line keeping the puck in Clinton's end and passing it up to Jack Steinbach who would net the goal giving Mitchell an early lead. Liam Brodhagen would also get an assist on this goal.
The score remained 1-0 Mitchell right up until the last period of play with Mitchell scoring again in the last minute, when Jack Steinbach (unassisted) netted the puck to give Mitchell some insurance for the remaining time on the clock. Goalie Brennen Vander Kuylen stood strong in net behind his team, who played their positions well and displayed strong defensive skills in the thrilling win.
