Ace Garden Centre Girls finish regular season in top three
The U13 Meteor Girls had a win and a loss in the final two games of the regular season.

The First game after the Christmas break was played against South Huron. Sophia VanNes opened the scoring against the Sabres, with Reina Nevin earning the assist. Elena Schoonderwoerd grabbed the second goal to put the Meteors up by two heading into the Second period. After a scoreless second period, Phoebe Wood grabbed the last goal of the game to end with a 3-0 win over the Sabres. Ally VanBakel earned the shutout.

The final game of the regular season was a 4-1 loss to the neighbours from the north, Central Perth Predators. The Meteors were down by two heading into the third period. The Predators would be up by three before Danica Voros beat the Predators netminder to get on the board, but it wasn’t quite enough as the predators responded with another to finish off the game 4-1.

We’re still awaiting some final games to be played to round out the regular season. The Ace Garden Centre U13 Girls had a remarkable regular season with an 11-3-2 record and are guaranteed to be in the top three out of nine in their division. Big thanks to Cori, Brooklyn, Dani and Morgan, for their time and dedication getting the girls this far. Wishing the best of luck in the playoffs.
