Wagner Nets OT Winner, Peewee Reps Move On In OMHA Playoffs
Nick Wagner scored the overtime winner from Jacob Dietrich, as the Hoegy's Farm Supply Meteor Peewee Reps defeated the Kincardine Kinucks 4-3 in Mitchell on January 24th.  The win gave Mitchell the series sweep in three games, now moving on to play the Saugeen Shores Storm in the second round.

Things started off slow for the Meteors, as Kincardine would score early in the opening two minutes to quickly jump out ahead. Mitchell would come to life in the second as Ethan Jarmuth scored on the power play from Charlie Geiger and Jack Van Loon to tie the game.  Dietrich would score the go-ahead goal moments later, racing in on an unassisted breakaway after the two defensemen collided to give him an opening.  Wagner would add the first of his two goals, this one on the power play assisted by Jarmuth, to take a commanding 3-1 lead.
After the second intermission flood, the Kinucks came charging back hard, scoring immediately in the opening minute, and then tying the game on the power play at 7:10 with Mitchell serving a hooking penalty.
That set the stage for Wagner's heroics with 3:24 remaining in the ten minute overtime period, sending the team and fans into a frenzy and moving on to the next round.
