Game #32 vrs Listowel Cyclones
The McLaughlin Wholesaling Novice Rep Meteors played an away game in Listowel on Sunday, January 29th, 2017.  The Cyclones on a current 3 game win streak, recently beating Drayton 6 to 5.  The Meteors without any recent wins, have been coming on strong as of late, passing the puck and putting in tremendous effort.  In an action packed game the Meteors may have played their best team game to date.  With so much good things starting to come together the loss to the Cylcones 5 - 3 was bittersweet.

The Cylcones would strike twice half way through the first period at the 5:29 and 5:20 marks, but the Meteors would respond with a point shot from Cohen Ahrens (Asst., Braden Hoegy) at 4:23 to end the first 2 - 1.

The second period would see thrilling back and forth action but the Meteors stellar defense of Cohen Ahrens, Elijah Bender, Griffin Bree, Jonah Gibbings and Braden Hoegy would limit many shots and those that did get by where stopped by the superb play of goalie Aiden McCann.

In the third period the Meteors would strike first with a sweet goal from Ryan Glauser (Asst., Matthew Menehere) to tie the game at 2 all.  The game would stay tied 2 to 2 until late into the final minutes of the third where the Cylcones would manage to score 2 goals at 4:16 and 3:31.  Now at 4 to 2, the Meteors came together as a team and moved the puck by passing it around and Max Hannon would benefit from one of these nice passes from Logan Verberne as he would score at 0:50 to draw close at 4 to 3.  The Meteors would pull the goalie for an extra skater in an effort to tie the game but would result in the Cyclones scoring with 0:38 left on the clock to seal the win.
