Atom Reps Place Second at Goderich Tournament
Your Neighbouhood Credit Union Atom reps participated
in the Goderich tournament this past weekend. The tournament started Friday
night against a very strong Minto team. Both teams came out strong but Minto
came out with a 7-3 score.
Saturday morning the boys took on Georgian Shores and came out with a hard working 3-1 win. That afternoon the Mitchell boys took to the ice and came out with a great 5-1 victory.
On Sunday morning the team needed a win to advance to the A finals and played their best game of the year with a 4-2 win over a big strong Blythe Brussels team to advance to the finals against Minto.
The final game saw the Mitchell team hit the score board first. It was a well matched game and Mito ended up with the win after scoring an empty netter to go ahead by 2 finishing the game with a 3-1 win.
