TRU Country & Garden Novice Girls off to a Fantastic Start
The TRU Country & Garden Novice Girls have played 7 games in the past 4 weeks with a 3 -4 -0 record.

Our first game was against the South Huron HL team and we came out flying. The final score was a 10-2 victory with Kara Rolph scoring 5, Ashley McLeod 2, Hayden Uniac, Danielle Harmer, and Brooklyn Boville each adding one. Alissa Insley, Rylee Kipfer, Rachal Haefling and Brooklyn Boville all added assists. Grace Kipfer was strong between the pipes. Our next game was a little tougher with an eye opening loss to BCH 11-0. The girls then travelled to Thamesford to take on the Zorra Fusion. The girls fought hard and pulled out a 4-2 victory with Rolph sniping 2, Teagan Mace and Haileigh Templeman each popping in their first goals of the season. Harmer, McLeod and Templeman all adding assists and Kipfer with another strong performance in net. For our fourth game in as many days the girls faced a strong North Middlesex team only to be defeted 6-0. After a well deserved rest and a couple practices the TRU Country Garden girls hosted Mooretown with a barn burner loss 1-0. Kipfer kept the girls in the game with some stellar saves between the pipes. This past Tuesday after lots of turkey over the weekend, the team travelled to Brussels to face BCH once again. With 5 games behind us and a couple practices under our belts the girls played hard and with some stellar defence by Jessie Horan, Heather Ogilive, Peyton Vanderkuylen, and Rylee Kipfer we held BCH to a 3-0 loss. To finish off our 7 games in four week schedule we played Zorra at home and came out with a 4-0 victory.  Jade Huygen started and finished the scoring while Peyton Vanderkuylen scored her first of the season and McLeod recorded a goal as well. Harmer, Haefling, Rolph and Templeman all added assists while Kipfer recorded her first shutout of the season.

The past four weeks have been busy but the girls have showed amazing improvement and are exited to show off their skills at this weeks upcoming hometown tournament.

We welcome all to come out and cheer on our Novice Girls team!!!  Go Meteors Go!
