The Chatham Challenge
The Novice girls traveled all the way to Chatham to face off against the Chatham Outlaws this past weekend.

Both the Saturday evening and Sundays morning games proved to be a challenge as the novice girls came up short, losing both games.

In action Saturday the Chatham Outlaws came on strong, scoring 2 goals in the first period. Their defense was tight, and offense aggressive. Mitchell worked with all they had following the three rules of getting to the puck first, then whacking it away and of course having fun!
Sadie scored in the second period, assisted by Alexis. Shawni held her own in net, not allowing any pucks through in the second period. Chatham scored another in the third, making their total three. Josie topped up Mitchell's score total with her first of the season to make it a close game. Final 3-2 Chatham.

After a fun stay-over in a hotel with pool and pizza parties the girls came back for more Sunday morning. The first period held a lot of back and forth action, resulting in no goals for either side. Mitchell seemed to lose momentum throughout the game, allowing Chatham to score three goals in the second period, then another three in the third. Mitchell was finally able to add their own marker on the score board with Josie's second goal of the season, assisted by Sadie and Alexis. Final 6-1 Chatham.
