Schedule & Results, Tyke 2, 2013-2014 (Mitchell Minor Hockey)

The Mitchell Walkom Valumart Tyke 2 team traveled to Hensall Sunday in preparation for their upcoming tournament in Wainflet next weekend. They will be competing in a Novice LL division and had an exhibition game against the BCH 2 novice LL team. We were able to open the scoring early as Carson Harmer opened the scoring just a minute and a half in with a breakaway goal assisted by Jacob Dietrich and Colby Ryan. But BCH answered back late in the frame by getting one passed goal tender Joel Meinen to end the first knotted at one a piece. Mid way through the second Harmer once again lit the lamp to put our tykes up again this time assisted by Kellen Russworm and Ryan. But once again the BCH boys were able to bring the score even at two to start the third. Our Boys once again had to dig deep into their games to bring a level that showed they could play at the novice level and this time BCH scored first but that just added fuel to the fire as Harmer then notched his third of the contest unassisted to draw even at three with just ten miles left in the match. A minute later Ryan Hubbard was able to tuck in a wrap around to give us another lead. Less then a minute later Harmer notched his forth this one was assisted by Hubbard. Then Harm's went on to score two more to give him six in the contest to go along with his two penalties one assisted by Ryan and the other assisted by Darius Ladd to give us a 7-4 victory.  A couple keys in the game was the great goal tending by Meinen and the great hard work and drive by the whole team.  Hopefully this shows the Boys what they are capable of and what they have to look forward to this weekend.
