Back-to-back wins
The Meteors defeated Mt Forest for the second time this season with a 5-3 on December 1st.  On December 8, the Meteors defeated Blythe-Brussels 3-1 with a come from behind win in a game with only one penalty per team.

In the Mount Forest game, Owen Smith opened the scoring one minute in with an assist from Sam Skinner. Joe McCarthy scored shortly after, with assists from Jordan Mabb and Evan Chaffe, to give the Meteors a 2 goal lead which they would hold for the period.
Halfway through the frame Mitchell went up 3-0 with a goal by Evan Chaffe setup by Devon Schinbein and Jacob Shuker. The Meteors would hold the shutout until Mt Forest finally put one past Scott Herbert while short-handed.
By the midway point of the third period the Rams had come back to tie Mitchell with two more short-handed goals. But with 3:13 on the clock Chaffe and Trevor Skinner set up Schinbein who managed to slap the game-winning goal past the Mt Forest goaltender to put the Meteors up 4-3.  McCarthy would add an empty net goal from beyond center with half a minute left to insure the Mitchell win.
Chris Bernard and Brett Adair led a number of great rushes in the contest with the help of great positional play by defenseman Josh Taylor and Jordan Eggleton.
On December 8, the Meteors played Blythe-Brussels at home.
With less than a minute into the game the Meteors went down 1-0 with a hard shot from the point from a Blythe defenceman. Despite a number of great offensive rushes by Cody Pauli, Jared Sykes and Ben Davey, the Meteors couldn’t even the scoring through two periods. Great defensive play by Jordan Eggleton and Jacob Shuker kept the deficit to one goal.
Finally, just 30 seconds into the third frame, Devon Schinbein tied up the game for the Meteors in a great unassisted effort. Six minutes later Schinbein added his second of the night with the assist from Evan Chaffe, which would end up being the game winner. After a number of great saves by Dan Skinner including an unbelievable glove save, the Meteors added their final of the game as Ben Davey found the back of the net with assists from Joe McCarthy and Shuker. Skinner made 30 saves on the night in the Meteors second win in a row.
Mitchell will take on Goderich on Thursday, December 12th as they head to the bay in search of their third win in a row.
