The Mitchell Dodge Caravan Kids Novice AE played an exciting game Sunday evening defeating the Milverton Drives 3-2.
Jarrett Van Bakel started off Mitchell’s scoring at the end of the first period with the assistance of Caleb Templeman and Josh French. Just ten seconds later Milverton would score their first goal to tie things back up.
In the second period Milverton would be the first to score, but Jarrett Van Bakel would go on to score his second goal of the game with the help of Jack Small and Xavier Lorentz and tie things back up. Jack Small brought in the third goal of the game with James McCarthy and Xavier Lorentz getting the assist.
Mitchell took the lead in the second period and was able to hold on to that lead with some good saves by Goalie Hayden Beuermann and the great defensive play by the blueline squad consisting of Brock Boville, Daniel Ogilvie, Evan O’Rourke, and Preston Porter.
The team did a great job and kept Milverton at bay at the end of the game, even after they pulled their goalie.
