The Mitchell Meteor’s Novice AE Caravan Kids had a win and two losses in the Elma Logan tournament this past weekend.
The team started off strong on Thursday evening bringing home a win 5-0, against the Elma Logan team. Josh French, Evan O’Rourke, Andreas Harmer, James McCarthy and Lucas Roobroeck each brought in a goal for Mitchell's victory.
The team went on to play two evenly matched teams on Saturday. Starting off the morning playing the Milverton Drives AE team, falling short 3-1. Caleb Templeman brought in the lone goal with assistance from James McCarthy and Xavier Lorentz.
Saturday evening they took on the Collingwood AE team playing an exciting game, eventually losing 4-2. It was an even match in the first two periods, with Collingwood taking the advantage in the third period. Jack Small was on fire scoring both Mitchell’s goals, with an assist of Brock Boville on the first goal. Goalie Andreas Harmer was in net for both the Saturday games making some great saves to keep Mitchell close.
The team tried hard Saturday but was unable to bring home the win in order to advance to the finals Sunday.
