The Paul Van Gerwen U18 Girls team prevailed over the Ilderton Jets at the London Devilettes 32'nd Girls Hockey Tournament in the finals, with a winning score of 6-1.
The U-18 girls team had a great weekend of hockey, winning four of their five games in the London Devillettes Tournament. Friday afternoon the U18's triumphed over their local rival Huron Heat with a 1-0 win. Two games Saturday had mixed results, with a 3-1 loss to the Ilderton Jets in the morning inspiring the U18 girls to come back stronger. The re-grouping before facing Sarnia Lady Sting paid off, with a 3-0 win.
The U 18 girls were headed to the semi-finals Sunday morning where they had an exciting game with Chatham, making a comeback to win 5-3. It took the whole team to come together Sunday afternoon to triumph over the Ilderton Jets 6-1 claiming the Championship.
