U15 REP Playdowns Game 3 vrs Cylones
The Scotia Bank Mitchell Meteors welcomed the Listowel Cyclones on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 for their first match-up of the 2023 playdowns. The Cyclones finished the regular season on top of the division by one(1) point over the Ironmen. During the regular season Mitchell would lose both matches, 3-2 and 3-1. This game would also prove to be a tight match between the two as they both battled hard for playdown points.
Aedan McCann would get the call in net and have an excellent performance as he would make many big saves to keep the game tight. With end to end action and no team dominating in a very even match-up, the Cylones would strike first at 14:23 of the first period and later add a power play goal at 1:54 of the second period. The Meteors put up a tremendous effort once again, but would fall 2 to 0 as they just couldn't catch any breaks or bounces.
Next up the Meteors travel to Port Elgin to meet up with Saugeen Shores Storm at 7:00pm on Saturday February 18, 2023.
