The Strathroy Tournament, Games 3 and 4
The Scotia Bank Mitchell Meteors returned to Strathroy Saturday November 5th to play the Alymer Flames at 12:15, followed by a long break with second game scheduled for 8:45pm against South Huron Sabres.
the Meteors and Flames would be locked in a tight game battle with the Flames striking first at 5:10 of the first period. The battle would continue into the second when Flames would add to their lead at the 12:15 mark. Shortly after Ryan Klumper would find Ethan Jarmuth who would strike with a bar down wrist shot to bring the Meteors within one. As the Meteors continued to battle Cohn Ahrens would take a hard slap shot from the point leaving a juicy rebound that Jonah Gibbings who would capitalize on it to tie the game at two all. The Flames would eventually add additional goals at 3:26 of the second and 13:31 of the third to take the game 4 to 2.
After a long break the Meteors where back to face the South Huron Flames. Mitchell would come out strong out of the gates scoring on the first shift as Ryan Klumper would feed a nice pass across the front of the net to a wide open Charlie Wolfe. With plenty of strong play from the all the Meteors and some spectacular saves from Carter Miller in net, Mitchell could just not hold on and would lose this one 4 to 1.
