The Strathroy Tournament, Games 1 and 2
The Scotia Bank Mitchell Meteors traveled to Strathroy to face the St. Mary's Rock at 11:15am and then the home town Strathroy Rockets at 7:15pm on Friday November the 4th to kick off their second tournament of the season.

Whether it was all the homework the boys said they were up late doing, the "Bigger Ice", or watching Thursday Night Football, the Meteor's came out flat and would fall in their first game to St. Mary's 10 to 1.  The loan goal coming from Ethan Jarmuth sending a pass back to Cohen Ahrens who would beat the Rock goalie to break his shut out.
The 7:15pm game against the home town Strathroy Rockets was a completely different game.  With the boys getting their afternoon nap in they came out ready to play.  Carter Miller would make many spectacular saves throughout three solid periods of play.
The first period would see a fast pace of action, back and forth on that big ice until Strathroy Rockets scored to go up 1 at 7:57 of the first.
The second period would be much of the same action as the speed and hitting picked up and Strathroy would strike again to go up 2 to 0.  The Meteors would get on the board at 5:43 of the second when Cohen Ahrens would take a shot from the point that would be redirected by Griffin Bree sitting out front of the net.
To open the Third period the Meteors would find themselves in penalty trouble and kill off a 5 on 3 to stay in the game.  However, shortly after the Rockets would strike again to go up 3 to 1.  With 9:06 left in the third Ethan Jarmuth would empty the bag of tricks as he would take the puck from his own end beating two Rockets enroute to the net to bring the Meteors within 1.
This game would end in a 3 to 2 loss with more Meteor's in the penalty box to prevent mounting an effort to push for the game tying goal.
