Lambeth
The Lancers scored the first goal of the game in the first
period, but the Meteors kept up the pressure and potted a goal before the end
of the first. Martyna Hartwig made a nice pass to Danica Voros who one timed it
in the net.
Lambeth scored two goals in the second period to widen the
gap over the Meteors, but the Meteors didn’t let up. Lucy Mahon lessened the
gap to bring the game within one. In the final minutes goalie Ally VanBakel was
pulled and the extra attacker was added but time ran out and the game ended
with a 3-2 loss.
Huron Heat
The Heat led the scoring in the first period, and both teams
battled hard throughout the game. The heat added another goal in the third
period, but the Meteors didn’t give up. With VanBakel pulled in the final
minutes and the extra attacker, The meteors were able to sneak in a goal with
3.7 seconds left, but after referee review, the goal was denied, ending the
game in a 2-0 loss.
