Game 1 vs Woodstock was played well with the Meteors taking the lead on a nice goal by Lucy Mahon, who broke free from the Wildcats defence. Sophia VanNes added the second goal, assisted by Mahon and Martyna Hartwig. Woodstock replied in the second period with a goal to narrow the Meteors lead. Danica Voros scored the third and final goal for the Meteors; assisted by Mahon, to take the win 3-1.
The next day, the girls had their work cut out for them after two scoreless periods against a defensively strong Kitchener Lady Rangers squad. The Meteors took the lead in the third period on a nice passing play from VanNes to Hartwig, then out to Reina Nevin who was positioned well out front to receive the pass and knock it in. The Rangers were able to answer back with a goal of their own to eventually end the game in a 1-1 tie. Netminder Allie VanBakels strong play in net, along with excellent teamwork from all players, kept the Meteors undefeated for the weekend.
