U15 Girls Take Home-And-Home With Mooretown To Open WOGHL Playoffs
The Lockhart Funeral Home U15 Meteor Girls squared off with Mooretown in WOGHL playoffs, opening with a 4-2 win on the road on Feb 16th followed by a 4-1 win at home on Feb 21st.

In Mooretown, things looked bleak on game day as COVID protocol had the Meteors down to 9 skaters for a 4-hour round trip.  The girls persevered and pushed hard all game in support of goaltender Alissa Insley, making the shorthanded trip well worthwhile to start the playoffs!
The locals were back to full strength in the return match, led by Brooklyn Boville's three assists.  Brooklynn French (1G 1A) had two points for the Meteors and additional goals were scored by Grace Laverty, Teagan Hickling, and Haileigh Templeman with Jade Huygen also adding a single helper.  Goaltender Insley stood tall once again between the pipes.
Next up for the girls is a home-and-home with St Mary's Rock, starting tomorrow night (Feb 23) in Mitchell at 7pm.
