First period saw 2
goals scored by Mitchell. Lead goal from Danika Voros on a loose puck scramble
with Dani Vosper, and Leah sills assisting. Voros also grabbed the next goal on
a slick wrap around.
Second period saw a great breakaway from Ella Sills, with Voros close behind to put the rebound to the back of the net. Cailey Michels also capitalized by getting a trickler across the goal line with help from Martyna Hartwig.
Two more goals finished off the game in the third, both from Voros. One on a rebound from Leah Sills and the other on a loose puck from a Charlie Weesjees shot.
Ally VanBakel had all the right moves in net when called upon to earn the 6-0 shutout victory over the Stratford Aces. A good effort put out by the U11 girls with some great passing and teamwork to win the first exhibition game of the season.
