U11 girls rack up another playoff win against Tillsonburg.
Caley Michels opened the scoring in the first period with a nice burst of speed to break past the Lightning defense. The second period had only one goal coming form Danica Voros and assisted by Emma Upshall. Ally VanBakel made a great save on a Lightning breakaway to maintain the Meteors’ two goal lead.
The third period scoring opened up with three goals coming from the meteors. Leah Sills grabbed a rebound shot, Upshall made a great pass to Michels who spotted an opening between the pads and made the shot count. Sophia VanNes grabbed a loose puck from the Lightning netminder, and made no mistake finding the back of the net, however the whistle had blown quite early making her goal dis-allowed. The last goal came from Kinslee Horan on a pass from Upshall to end the game 5-1 Meteors.
