Mitchell Scotia Bank U15 LL hit the road
Wednesday night for a rematch against Huron-Bruce in Ripley. Slow to the
start, the first period was dominated by Huron-Bruce giving the Mitchell boys a
run for their money and resulting in a 2-0 lead for Huron-Bruce going into the
second.
The second period began with H-B gaining their third goal 30 seconds in. But straight from the next face off, Mitchell gained their first goal by Max H 14 seconds later. With the boys on the board now, Ryan K battled for the puck seeing an open Logan V who tipped the puck to the back of the net. Colby R would add 2 more goals, one a breakaway from the Mitchell end & the other assisted by Brody S to end the third with Mitchell now in the lead 4-3.
The third period would become quite the battle for the win. Colby R, with a strong pass from Logan V, added a Hat trick to the night. H-B fought back to add another goal & reduce Mitchell's lead to 1. In an attempt to tie the game, they pulled their goalie but Colby R broke down the ice to add an empty netter. Finishing the game off strong, a wicked shot from Bradley D would see Tyler S with a great rebound shot, with just 17 seconds left, securing the win 7-4.
