After
a weekend of wins on the road, the Scotia Bank U15 LL boys brought the heat
back to Mitchell. Once the puck hit the ice, the boys charged into action
against Blyth-Brussels with some strong teamwork. Tyler's and Griffin's
passing was on point finding Cohen open to fire that puck to the back of the
net claiming the solo goal of the first period.
Usually the coaches light fire under the boys going into the third, but the chat must have come early with the 2nd period face off heading straight down the ice and an amazing shot from Ryan just 8 seconds in for goal #2. Again, strong teamwork by Jonah, Max and Tyler found the boys capitalizing on some hard rebounds with Tyler ultimately sneaking the puck in. Wrapping up a hard fought 2nd period, Griffin saw the chance to add the 4th goal of the night. What would the coaches talk bring to the third?
Strong off the opening face off again saw Rogan capture the 5th goal assisted by Logan and Cohen just 1 minute in. With 14 minutes of play left, the entire team pulled together fighting hard & shutting down the Blyth-Brussels advances to earn the first Shut out of the year with Aedan's strong goaltending between the pipes.
