March Break Rally
The Walkom's Valumart U11s had two games over the March Break.
The first game was vs. the BCH Ice Dogs and it took place in Blyth on Wednesday evening. Mitchell brought home the win with goals by Logan Broughton, Brady Brown, Jackson Schoonderwoerd, Tyler Verberne and two more which this star reporter missed. Final score 6-1.
The second March Break game took place on Saturday afternoon vs. the Seaforth Stars. Seaforth jumped into the lead in the first minute of play with a goal. The rest of the game was neck and neck with both Mitchell and Seaforth playing strong offensively and defensively. Goalie Taitum Vessie had many saves and was kept on his toes all game. With only 40 seconds left on the clock Hayden DeJong found the net to tie it up 1-1.
Great games this week, U11s! Big thanks to the U11 coaches for setting up exhibition games for the team and extending their season a bit longer.
