U13 Girls Fall To Huron Heat
The Mitchell Meteor U13 Girls suffered a close loss to Huron Heat on December 12th, as they blew a 2-0 lead and fell 3-2 to their visitors.
After being on the receiving end of a tripping penalty that Huron Heat did not score on the penalty shot, Ashley McLeod promptly roared back with two unanswered goals to stake the Meteors to a 2-0 lead at the half.
Regaining some momentum at the break, the Heat stormed back with two goals in the first four minutes to tie the game. With under three minutes remaining, goalie Leah Kelly got a piece of a high shot on her blocker side, only for it to deflect and trickle in over the goal line for the game winner.
