Meinen Sharp as Meteors Edge Ice Dogs In Regular Season Opener
Goaltender Joel Meinen made several key saves as the Hoegy's Farm Supply Meteor Peewee Reps opened their WOAA regular season schedule on October 5th in Clinton with a 3-2 road win over the BCH Ice Dogs.

BCH opened the scoring with under a minute to play in the opening period to take the early lead, adding a power play goal early in the second to go up 2-0.  The Meteors ran into penalty trouble during the game, but it just made everyone work that much harder resulting in two short-handed goals in the second period from Charlie Geiger unassisted and Ethan Jarmuth from Kellen Russwurm to tie the game.
After BCH took an interference penalty midway through the third, Jack Miller would score the game-winning goal on the power play from Geiger.  The Ice Dogs would pull the goalie for an extra attacker in the final minute, but goaltender Meinen stood tall and shut the door for the win.
