A Jam-Packed Schedule for the Atom Reps with 4 games in 4 days
The Walkom's Valu-Mart Mitchell Atom Rep Meteors saw plenty of action on the ice over the last several days.  They traveled to Clinton on Dec.5; Hanover in the morning and Kincardine in the afternoon on Dec. 7; and finally a home game in Mitchell on Dec. 8.

For the 3rd time in less than a week, the Meteors faced off against the BCH Ice Dogs in Clinton on Thursday, Dec. 5.  Though Mitchell struck first with Ben Kelly scoring in the first period (assist - Austin Judge), BCH was able to match Mitchell's play, tying it up at the start of the second.  Both teams battled back and forth until the Meteors regained the lead with Landon Van Bakel scoring at 8:55 of the second period (assist - Austin Judge).  The Atom Reps got into penalty trouble at the start of the 3rd having to kill off a 5 on 3 for just under a minute when BCH scored with 5 on 4, tying it up at 3:33.  BCH would continue to press, scoring another at 12:40 and again, on the powerplay, at 13:57.  The final score 4-2.

On Saturday, December 7, the Atom Reps started the morning on the road by taking on the Hanover Falcons.  The game would prove to be an offensive display by the Meteors as they beat the Falcons 6-1.  Goals came from Colby Faust, Landon Van Bakel (2), Isaak Smith, Hudson Porter, and Carson Brown with assists going to  Brown, Owen Jarmuth and Nate Uniac.  Carter Miller was solid in net, only giving up one within the first 2 periods, followed up by a strong 3rd period showing by Bryson Eickmeyer.

The Meteors would then travel to Kincardine on the same day to take on the Kinucks for an afternoon game.  Mitchell put on a strong defensive effort with Carter Miller making several saves throughout.  The Meteors would hold the Kinucks to 2 goals in the first 2 periods.  However, Kincardine would score 3 more times in the third (2 of which were on the powerplay).  Final 5-0.

Kincardine would travel to Mitchell the next day to face the Meteors in their own building.  The Walkom's Valu-Mart Atom Reps came to play and put up one of their best games against the Kinucks this year.  With Miller between the pipes and defensive support coming from Faust, Jarmuth, Kelly, Otten, and Smith, the Kinucks found themselves on their heels at times.  The end-to-end play from our centers, Beuermann, Porter, and Uniac along with strong forechecking from the forwards, Brown, Judge, Richardson, and Van Bakel provided an exciting and evenly matched game for all to watch.  Mitchell started the scoring in the second period, with Austin Judge making no mistake by putting in a rebound off a Hudson Porter shot.  The Kinucks would answer back in less than a minute and then add 2 more in the first 5 minutes of the 3rd.  Mitchell responded with Landon Van Bakel fighting for the puck and going low, blocker-side at 4:59, making the score 3-2.  Mitchell continued to show resilience in their play going head-to-head with Kincardine.  However, the Kinucks would capitalize on the powerplay scoring their fourth goal of the game at 12:49.  Though, Mitchell may have lost 4-2 on the scoresheet, the Mitchell Atom Rep Meteors won with their determination and never-give-up attitude.  Great job, boys!

A BIG thanks needs to also go out to our bench staff - Mike Jarmuth, Randy Van Bakel, Jason Uniac, and Jason Richardson.  Thanks for your time, commitment, and caring for our boys.
