On Tuesday evening the Terry Auto Service Mitchell Midget AE’s hosted the Blyth/Brussels Crusaders.
Playing the Crusaders has been very entertaining in the past, tonight would be no different, with the game riddled with penalties…once again.
Mitchell started the scoring when Jackson MacArthur put the puck in the back of the visitors net in the first period. Assists would go to Evan Morrison and Curtis Chaffe. Scoring was somewhat a premium during the game, as it would seem our AE’s enjoy playing to the caliber and demeanour of their opposition, which as a parent is frustrating to watch knowing the boys can play so much better. The next goal would not come until mid way through the third when Josh Bedour passed the puck to Carter Preszcator who then sent it to the rushing Caleb Tweddle, who would put it past the net minder at the other end, doubling the AE’s score. At the buzzer, the Mitchell AE’s once again secured another win with the score being 2-0 and added another two points for the season.
The game overall was a better game to watch for the hundreds of hockey fans that came out then the previous gamee in Hanover. Both teams racked up double digit penalties and Bradley Boville earned himself the shut out, again helping the AE’s extend their winning streak.
Terry’s Auto Service Mitchell Midget AE’s play in a mini tournament this Saturday, in Palmerston beginning at 8 am against the Minto Mad Dogs.
