Game 1 Silverstick Regional Tournament
Early Friday morning, the Terry's Auto Service Mitchell Midget AE's started their weekend of hockey in the Regional Silverstick tournament sponsored in part by National Leasing Inc. in Exeter against the Mt Brydges Cougars.

Unfortunately, early morning games are apparently not the AE’s speciality and their 7 game winning streak ended abruptly losing 4-3.

The water in Mt Brydges certainly is different than West Perth's because the Cougars were a large powerful team with the bone crushing checking ability. Even with the size disadvantage, Mitchell was able to strike first when Evan Morrison sent the puck to the back of the opponents net with help from Deven Fenwick and Jake Monden, however the David and Goliath battle started to go south when the Cougars made it 3-1 by the end of the second. Mitchell regrouped and stated their come back in the third when Jackson MacArthur made it 3-2 with help from Morrison and Joe Hill. Not to be intimidated by Goliath, the unassisted high light reel goal from Monden tied the score at 3-3  and would remain that way until a communication break down late in the third finished the scoring 4-3 with the Terry's Auto Service Mitchell Midget AE’s frustrated and winning streak snapped.

A frustrating game to lose and watch knowing the boys could had beaten the Goliath team from Mt. Brydges, but with errors and communication break downs it was not met to be….
