3-2 win over Hanover
On Sunday evening the Terry Auto Service Mitchell Midget AE’s travelled to play in Hanover.

This game was a much better match for Mitchell  than their last encounter against Hanover with the Hanover goaltender making some exceptional saves. The game was fairly clean until the last 32 seconds of it….

Mitchell struck early when Joe Hill sent a pass over to Devan Fenwick who sent it to Evan Morrison who buried it in the first 10 seconds of the game. Hanover quickly tied the game then Kurtis Forrest made it 2-1 from a pass from Conner Louwagie. Hanover again tied the score earlier in the second. The third period was slow until Mitchell’s Jackson MacArthur broke the tie with the help from Louwagie and Tristan Beelher mid way through the third, ending the scoring at 3-1 and giving Mitchell another two points.

With 32 seconds remaining, the stupidity happened, two of  Mitchell’s players checked a Hanover player from behind sending him hurdling into the boards. Hanover quickly retaliated with one of their players charging in like a freight train and levelling the two Mitchell players.  An altercation occurred and after all  the chaos had ended, penalties were assessed and game suspensions handed down.

Next game for the Terry Auto Service Mitchell Midget AE’s is Tuesday evening at 7pm against the Walkerton Capitals.  Last time we met, Mitchell lost 2-1.
