3-1 win over Blyth Brussels
Terry’s Auto Service Mitchell Midget AE's travelled to Brussels on Wednesday evening to play against the Blyth/Brussels Crusaders.

Although numerous penalties were assigned and one player ejected, the game itself was lack lustre…. until late in the third when Mitchell decided to show up and win the hockey game 3-1.

The Crusaders struck first slipping their one and only goal passed Ryan Bell early in the first. Nothing else happened in the first and most of the second, and I mean nothing. Then with just 27 seconds left in the second, Carter Preszcator finally gave the half frozen Mitchell fans something to cheer about and made it 1-1.

After some inspiring words from the coaching staff during the break, the Mitchell AE’s came out stronger, but still struggled in most aspects of the game of hockey.  Finally as the third was winding down, Evan Morrison was able to net himself a point to wake the fans up again and 40 seconds later, Darren Feltz gave us another reason to cheer and added his name to the score sheet and also ended the scoring at 3-1.

Although grateful for the win and two points, having 45 minutes of team effort would be nice, rather than just a few.

Next game is Sunday evening at 8:30 pm when the Hanover Falcons will host the Terry’s Auto Service Mitchell Midget AE team in Hanover. Last time we met Mitchell won 7-1.
