Saturday at Woolwich Wild Shootout
The JP Uniac Peewee B Girls played two games Saturday
This morning the girls played Cambridge. They had a power play goal to start the scoring off.
Half way through the second Cambridge attempted to make a rink wide pass that was intercepted by Margret McCarthy who gave herself a break away and had an awesome goal. The crowd went wild! Tie game.
Then minutes later Cambridge took the lead again. The girls had lots of shoots on net and many chances but just couldn't get one in. We even had a power play opportunity but couldn't capitalize on it.
With 1:39 left they scored again to make it a 3-1 loss for us as the buzzer went.
Late afternoon the girls played against Woolwich. Woolwich started the score board late in the first.
We had two power play opportunities in the second. With a minute left in the second Josephine Jarmuth received a pass from Danielle Harmer, then shot from the top of the circle, which lied on the top of the goalies pads, until she moved and the puck slowly fell into the net.
Half way through the third they scored again to take the lead.
Coach Jarmuth pulled the goalie for an extra attacker but we couldn't find the back of the net. We found the goalie pads lots.
Claire McCorkindale, Andrea Kelly, Harmer, Jarmuth and McCarthy all had shots on net. Hayden Uniac did a great job getting the puck to the net as she was filling in for Brooklyn Boville. Heather Orgivile, Aubrey Vosper, Alexis Gettler and Jordyn Crawford were all trying hard today to put that put between the pipes. Great effort in both games today girls!
