Mitchell finds their offence touch in defeating Listowel

Saturday night was alright for the Mitchell Legion Peewee LL team as they found their offence touch in downing the Listowel Cyclones 7-2 in League play.  In the first period Ryan Hubbard scored twice from passes from Calum Harris to put the team up 2-0 at the end of the first.

In the second, Zach Huygen opened the scoring with Nolan Vessie and Payton Wood with the helpers.  Later on in the period, it was Vessie’s turn to add to the locals goal total, Huygen got the assist.

In the third, Listowel found the back of the net twice to make it a game at 4-2 but the Peewee’s came back with 3 unanswered goals starting with Tyler Scherbarth scoring with Hubbard getting the assist.  Later in the period Hubbard got the hat trick with the assist going to Harris.  Bradley Dearing put the game out of hand with a goal late the period with Huygen and Colby Ryan contributing to the point totals.

Great team game shown by the boys!  This weekend they are heading to Mooretown to compete in the Rise up cup!
